The Butt-Face Towel

Here is a product that has some definite potential. Many people have made a habit of using a towel multiple times in an effort to make the environment a cleaner place (or in an effort to save money on utility bills). Whatever the reason, here is a useful product in that endeavor—the Butt-Face Towel. It helps one remember what they used a particular part of the towel to dry (and it is even color coded for those who do not read.

Some improvements can be made. The current version is not very thick, so you cannot dry your face with only the face portion. It defeats the purpose of the towel. Also, my friend Matt suggested they could have other areas listed as well, like the underarms, toes, etc. Including a black towel on the back for the back would be a good improvement as well. Although it is not very useful (because it is not very thick and therefore it is very hard to one to dry oneself), it is kind of nice being able to tell guest that they can go right ahead and use the Butt-Face Towel, just to be careful of which end they use for their face!

My Mom Quilts

My mom has been quilting since I was in high school. She has made a quilt for my younger brother and two for me (and I am getting another one soon). She and her quilting friends have even made quilts for children facing long stays in hospitals. But some of the best quilts she haw made have been her quilts for the babies in our church. I just wanted to share a couple photographs I took of two of them. These are some very beautiful quilts.

Pinwheels (A Recent Quilt)

Another Recent Quilt
This is a nine-patch alternating with snowballs,
which produces a secondary pattern—very nice.

In the snowball, she has quilted objects, like a rabbit.

She has quilted a baby pin (upper left) and a rattle (lower right) in these squares.

Update Coming Soon

Hello people! I have been incredibly busy for the past few weeks with school work. I have a couple of book reviews due tomorrow, so I have to read about 220 pages tonight and write about 10-15 pages tomorrow. I will be really busy and really tired tomorrow night, when I will listen to UL first basketball game of the season--Geaux Cajuns!! Any way, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am working on a post and I will probably publish it this weekend. With all these words, I could have just did that post, right?

Logan Plays Soccer

I went to Logan’s soccer game today. I used the opportunity to try out my camera some more. Logan’s team won 5-4 in what was an exciting game. It was strange to see parents get so excited or so upset on how there child’s team is doing—they're 7 years-old for crying out loud. LET THEM HAVE SOME FUN!!! Here are some pictures of the game.
